this guy i work with keep saying this.. hehe it's pretty cool. But hey, don't be a party pooper and take it for anything other than a joke/riddle.
i can't remember it well so i'll make some stuff up..haha!
So there's 3 guys, they go on a trip for 2 days. They drove some miles and miles away and got to their destination. When night time came around, they needed to find a place to sleep for the night. So they came upon a motel.
They went in to ask what it would cost for one room. The clerk replied that it would be $30 per night. So they each gave $10 ($10 x 3 people = $30) and book the room for the night.
When they left for to the room, the clerk just remembered that there had been a special deal for that weekend: $25/night. So the clerk gave $5 to one of his co-workers to return to the 3 guys. On the way to the 3 guys room, the co-worker thought to himself, no one would know if I took $2, that way I can split them each $1. The co-worker goes into the room and gives them each $1 back.
So if they each paid $10 and received $1 back, then as a result they each paid $9 for the room ($10 - $1 = $9). But wait, if they each paid $9 then the total would be $27 ($9 x 3 people = $27). If you calculate the $2 that the crooked co-worker pocketed, that would equal $29 ($27 + $2 = $29). Hmm.. so the question is, what happened to the extra $1?
HAHAHAHAHAAH! figure that out.. ;P
ok ok time to go back and do the website.. got alittle side tracked..hehhe

HAHAHAHAHAAH! figure that out.. ;P ok ok time to go back and do the website.. got alittle side tracked..hehhe hahah.. this thing is so gay.. Got me confused and had to think for a bit.. The math didn't make any sense but kinda figured the trick in the formulation or wording.. $1/person for the 3 people yields $3. $3 taking away from $30 would make $27. Take $2 which the coworker took, off from $27 would make $25 which is the rate for the night. So it means $2 was taking out from the $27 total and not $30. To make the math more complicated but more understandable, work backwards. Haven't done math for ages, so this may be tedious. $25 divisible by 3 people would mean they each would have had to pay $8.33/person. But they gave $10, so $1.67 is what they should have gotten back ($10-$8.33=$1.67) . So if the coworker gave them back $1 each, that means the $2 he pocketed came from the extra $0.67 cents he took from each person (3*$0.67 = roughly $2). So somewhere in that formulation wording is throwing people off from getting the right calculations.. haha.... man, i'm rusty in math now..

haha someone went all out. I didn't even bother with calculating it.. I got kinda lazy half way. But its all in the way you look at numbers.. for example. Click on the time on the system tray and look at the calendar on your computer. Look at the weekdays of any week. For example M-F being April 16-20, 2007. If you take away 16 from 20 it would equal 4.. but really is it 4 days? No! It's 5 days.. ahahahahahha! so that's where I left my conclusion. Didn't bother with the math. Somewhere in the addition and the multiplication math, the math got reversed or something to confuse you or the equation is "Error." I figured it out.. btw. it wasn't as comlicated as "Izumo" said. There are no .33 with the line on top of the 3 indicating it goes on foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... if you stick only to addition and add the $3 that each of them got with the cost of the motel [$25], it would yield $28. Add the $2 to the $28, and you get $30... hehehe
